The Chorus of Westerly welcomes Maestro David Hill to the podium for the performance of Verdi's Requiem. Maestro Hill is Chief Conductor of The BBC Singers, Musical Director of The Bach Choir, Music Director of Southern Sinfonia, Music Director of Leeds Philharmonic Society, and Principal Conductor of Yale Schola Cantorum. Featuring the Verdi Festival Orchestra and Sarah Callinan, soprano - Paula Rockwell, mezzo soprano - Brian Cheney, tenor - Kevin Short, bass.
The Chorus of Westerly is an intergenerational 200 member chorus, which was founded in 1959, to perform the masterworks in choral literature and provide music education for child and adult singers. Tickets are available for purchase online, by phone at (401) 421-2787, or at the PPAC Box Office located at 220 Weybosset Street in downtown Providence. Box Office Hours: M-F, 10A – 5P; Sat 10A-2P. Summer hours vary and are TBD. The VETS on-site Box Office is only open on show days. To ensure the enjoyment of all patrons, children under the age of six are not permitted to attend performances unless it is designated as a family show. Please call the Box Office at (401) 421-ARTS (2787) to see which shows are appropriate for younger children. All persons regardless of age are required to have a ticket for family shows.
