Viktor Plotnikov’s “Coma” is a dance-drama like no other. Inspired by Michael Chrichton’s 1978 film of the same name, the work is at turns tender and gripping, with the unique shapes, angles, and perspectives audiences have come to expect from this truly contemporary choreographer.
Serenade**
Music: Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky
Choreography: George Balanchine
George Balanchine's "Serenade" is considered one of the all time masterpieces of 20th century choreography. The ballet that launched the iconic choreographer's extraordinary American career, is a visual treat, drenchec in moonlight and bursting with energy. The New Yorker magazine says "the piece is beautiful—stirring, sweeping."
Smoke and Mirrors**
Music: Lucas Vidal
Choreography: Yury Yanowsky
Former Boston Ballet principal dancer Yury Yanowsky created his first major work for that company in 2016, which WBUR calls, “innovative and inspired, breaking the boundaries of possibilities in ballet.” The smoky, apocalyptic work is a reflection of today’s society and its codependent relationship with social media.

Tickets are available for purchase online, by phone at (401) 421-ARTS (2787), or at the PPAC Box Office located at 220 Weybosset Street in downtown Providence. Box Office Hours are M-F, 10A–5P; Sat 10A-2P. Summer hours are M-Th 10A-3P. The VETS on-site Box Office is only open on show days. Children under the age of six are not permitted to attend performances unless it is designated as a family show. Please call the Box Office at (401) 421-2787 to see which shows are appropriate for younger children. All persons regardless of age are required to have a ticket for family shows.
